I Was Put Under Citizen’s Arrest—Then the Cops Showed Up!

I never thought I’d be in a situation where someone would try to citizen’s arrest me, but here we are. And let me tell you—this was beyond ridiculous.

It all started when I was walking through a parking lot, minding my own business. Out of nowhere, a middle-aged guy—let’s call him Kevin—stormed up to me, pointing his finger like he was in some kind of action movie.

“You! Stop right there! You’re under citizen’s arrest!

I blinked. “Uh… what?”

Kevin was dead serious. He claimed he saw me “tampering” with a car—which, for the record, was MY car. I had just been checking my door because my key fob was acting up. But Kevin wasn’t having it.

“You’re not going anywhere,” he barked, blocking my path. He even whipped out his phone, saying he was calling the cops. I tried explaining, but he kept cutting me off: “I SAW WHAT YOU DID! STAY RIGHT THERE!”

At this point, I figured, fine, let’s wait for the cops—because I had nothing to hide. Sure enough, they arrived within minutes. Kevin was practically foaming at the mouth, telling them he had “caught a car thief in action.”

And then… the best part happened.

The cop calmly turned to me and asked, “Sir, is this your car?”

I nodded, unlocked it with the key, and opened the door.

The cop sighed, turned to Kevin, and said, “You just tried to arrest the OWNER of the car.” Kevin turned pale. He stammered out some excuse about “being a good citizen” before the cops told him to go home.

Moral of the story? Some people take their hero complex way too far.
